FAQ

Q: What is The Happiest Hour Project?

A: The Happiest Hour is the brainchild of Mike Escobar, a beer lover and devotee of positive psychology.  Guests at The Happiest Hour events enjoy a free beverage in exchange for sharing a positive story (big or small) that occurred to them that day.  We collect these stories and share them to surround the community in positivity.

Q: HOW DOES IT REALLY WORK?

A: It’s simple – show up at the designated time and place, jot down “what went right” in your day on the card provided, redeem for a beverage and share your story with other participants. Anyone with a positive story to share and a kick-ass attitude is welcome. 21+ to enjoy the beer.

Q: When and where do Happiest Hour events occur?

A: Currently, Happiest Hour events are hosted at 401 Brook Rd in Historic Jackson Ward, RVA. They occur four times a year in March, June, September and December.  Specific dates are set 4-6 weeks in advance. You can provide your email address under “Keep Me Informed” to be notified of events by email or you can check back regularly to the main page of The Happiest Hour Project website.

Q: What DRINKS ARE served at Happiest Hour events?

A: The events feature beer brewed by founder Mike Escobar, as well as a special non-alcoholic cocktail for those looking to get happy booze free.  The beer style(s) available will be announced when the event dates are set.

Q: I would love to get MORE involved.  What help is needed?

A: If you have a product or service and would like to sponsor an event though an in-kind offering that would be amazing.  We are also always on the lookout for awesome, positive people who have unique ideas and talents they want to bring to the project.  Let’s get the conversation started through the Contact Us page.
